LICENSE INFORMATION:

There are 2 ways of running this software.

1) AS SHAREWARE VERSION (Evaluation use)

2) AS REGISTERED VERSION (Paid Licensed use)

SHAREWARE VERSION:

Using as shareware version subject to the terms below.

You are hereby licensed to use this software for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 90 days. If you use this software after the 90-day evaluation period a registration fee (as per latest price) is required. Shareware version has limitation on some of its functions.

REGISTERED VERSION:

You can pay the latest price and get your license code. One registered copy may either be used by a single person on multiple computers, or multiple people on a single computer. You are responsible for backing up the downloaded files for your future use. The same version may not be available to download in future. The license code issued is unique for each user that you may not disclose to others.

GOVERNING LAW:

The International copyright laws shall govern this agreement.

nice and user friendly program

like this site very user friendly and easy to use, impressed about some features not sure why one has to pick picture of a user, like the instruments

inaccurate sounds

I think this program has the capability of being an excellent teaching tool to introduce composition to young and even very young students. I do have a couple of concerns, however. One concern is that most of the "instrument" sounds do not match the instrument. As a music educator, I find it vitally important that especially my young children be acquainted with good tones and sounds and voices. This helps make them better musicians and singers. I realize that truer instrument samples would more expensive making the $12 price less lucrative. I can't justify that trade, though, in my classroom.

Another concern is the motif that is assigned to each "instrument." If a young child just puts them together randomly, the end result is just a mess of sound. Although I didn't get to play around with the program a great deal, I found very few non-percussion instruments that could be used together and still produce a pleasant, musical sound. Perhaps the instruments need to be placed in groups that when played together the sound is musical, at the least.

Again, I think this program has excellent potential. For me as an educator who strongly promotes good sounds, I can not justify its use in the classroom.
